Verdict: Cloudray is worth a look if you need a production galvo marker – MOPA fiber for metal and color marking, CO2 for organic materials, or UV for glass and heat-sensitive plastics. It isn’t the brand for cutting plywood or for a first hobby laser.

Which Cloudray is for what
- MP Series Neo (MOPA fiber) – metal marking and engraving: jewelry, coins, tags, tools; color marking on stainless. The 60W is the entry point.
- GM Series Neo (MOPA fiber) – more power and a camera for positioning, for higher volumes and deeper engraving.
- EC Series Neo (CO2) – marking wood, leather, acrylic, paper and glass at galvo speed.
- TR Series (UV) – fine marking on glass and heat-sensitive materials, including inner engraving in crystal.
- CL-300 – rust and paint removal, not engraving.

Cloudray vs hobby lasers
Hobby machines like the WeCreat Lumos Flex ($1,940) and LaserPecker LP5 (from $2,999) also include a fiber source and add a diode for wood – better if you want one machine for everything. Which Cloudray machine should a beginner buy?
Cloudray machines are aimed at production marking rather than beginners. If you're new to lasers, see our beginner guide; if you already know you need fast metal marking, the MP Series Neo 60W is Cloudray's lowest-priced MOPA machine we found.
