1. WeCreat Vision Pro 45W – best overall for small business

WeCreat says the Vision Pro is built for small businesses and higher-volume production. Its 19.7 × 12.6 in (500 × 320 mm) area fits, by WeCreat’s example, 120 dog tags in one batch; an optional Auto PassThrough Conveyor extends work length to 137 inches. WeCreat claims “60W-like” cutting (25 mm basswood) from a 45W diode, LiDAR auto-focus and an auto-lifting chassis (0–140 mm), all in a fire-retardant metal Class 1 enclosure.

2. Creality Falcon2 Pro – best enclosed power per dollar

Creality calls the 60W version ideal for small-business production: 22 mm basswood or 0.2 mm stainless sheet in one pass, a 400 × 400 mm bed with a camera, and a Class 1 enclosure. The 40W and 60W include a 1.6W fine-detail module. Pricing starts at $899 for the 22W.

3. Sculpfun S70 Max – biggest bed

An 830 × 800 mm area with a 70W diode and 50 L/min air assist, controlled from a touchscreen without a computer. Sculpfun lists 20 mm plywood and 10 mm black acrylic cuts. Open-frame, so it needs a dedicated, ventilated space with eye protection.

4. WeCreat Lumos Flex – best for mobile metal personalization

If you engrave at markets and events, or sell jewelry and metal gifts, a portable fiber-plus-diode machine covers both metal and wood. WeCreat says the Lumos line is designed for on-the-go work and color marking on metal. $1,940.

Also consider: one machine for printing and lasering

Shops that sell 3D-printed products as well as engraved ones can look at the Bambu Lab H2D Laser Edition, which combines a dual-nozzle 3D printer with a 10W or 40W laser. Its laser area is smaller than a dedicated machine’s – see our Bambu Lab H2D laser review.

Key takeaways

  • For a small business, speed and batch capacity matter more than headline price: a bigger bed and more cutting power mean more pieces per hour.
  • WeCreat positions the Vision Pro 45W ($1,920) for small businesses; it has a 500 × 320 mm area, an optional 137-inch pass-through conveyor and, per WeCreat, cuts 25 mm basswood.
  • Creality says the Falcon2 Pro 60W is aimed at small-business production, cutting 22 mm basswood in one pass inside a Class 1 enclosure.
  • If you sell metal products – jewelry, tags, tumblers – plan for a fiber laser as a second machine or choose a dual-laser model.

Frequently asked questions

What laser engraver do I need to start an engraving business?

Most product businesses start with a 20W–45W diode machine for wood, leather and coated tumblers, plus a rotary. Add a fiber laser when bare-metal orders justify it. Enclosed machines are easier to run in a shared space.

Diode or CO2 for a business?

CO2 lasers are faster on organic materials and cut clear acrylic, which matters for sign and cake-topper shops. Diode machines are cheaper and lower-maintenance and cover wood, leather and coated metal well.

What extra equipment does a laser business need?

Fume extraction (WeCreat's AirGuard units cost $299–$999), a rotary for drinkware, air assist, spare honeycomb beds, and material stock. Budget for test material when you take on new products.
